This course will help students master the fundamentals of the computer as well as learn the parts, terminology and basic skills needed to comfortably use a computer in a visual, easy-to-understand way.
The course is open to everyone with interest in the topic. The course will teach about hardware, software and operating systems and how they interact with each other, concepts of logging on and off a computer, network and the Internet, explore how to access programs and how to create and manage files and folders and ultimately learn how to work with Windows, including basic configuration of user accounts and settings.
Audience:
This course is designed for anyone who wants to understand the basic concepts of what a computer is and how it functions.
Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites for this course except a desire to learn about how a computer works. Having worked on a computer would be an added advantage in completing the tutorial.
